Apparently I have some pathetically desperate need for validation. Are you out there? Are you reading this crazy blog-thing?
I'm withholding judgment on the whole blog universe. Most blogs seem to be individual's random thoughts and opinions thrown against the proverbial wall to see what sticks. I probably...scratch that...definitely would not have a blog if not for the ease of updating everyone on Lillian's progress. Mostly due to the fact that I had never even seen a blog prior to writing this one. (I know, welcome to the modern world.)
However, since I do have one, I'm sadly checking it multiple times a day to see if anyone is reading it. So thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your encouraging comments. They nourish our souls and validate that my scattered mutterings are worthwhile.

Yahoo for being at the halfway point. And...thank you for the comment on my blog. There IS something so validating about having someone take the time to not only check but leave a message. And just so you know, any writing skills I may have at this point are because of the time I've spent writing with you and Wendy. Praying with/for you that you're able to spend Christmas at home this year and that you're able to fill your sugarplum with lots of food!

I have been reading your blogs faithfully and have reported to my friends at church who are praying for your family.
Unfortunately I didn't realize how much comments would mean to you. Reading the blogs keeps all of us informed as to specifics that we can pray about. We love to hear about successes especially. Scott, Ann Alisa and Laura are also keeping up with news about Lillian.

Hi Lori,
You remember us - the Duerden's from Glencoe HS days. Your mom e-mailed me your blog site and I just finished reading the entire thing out loud to Bill. As I was reading it I thought how well written and interesting it is - my first blog to read (maybe I'll read others now). Lillian is adorable and is a real trooper. She is about the same age as John's little girl (Madison) and if we can ever get them to come visit from Maryland maybe we can have a play date. Remember when your Mom hit John with a rock on the way back from Bend? We'll keep any weapons out of her reach this time.

I agree with Traci...moster cookies could be the answer! We used to justify them because we were getting our protein from the peanut butter, but this sheds a whole new light on the famous cookie. Don't forget to go to the store for the DOZEN eggs the recipe calls for!!! :)
